According to the AOA National Joint Registry, over 44,000 Total Hip Replacements have taken place in Australia in the last year-making this one of the most successful surgeries to be performed. Total Hip Replacement involves the removal of the damaged bone and cartilage and replacement with a prosthesis. Due to advances in technology, Perth Hip & Knee are able to offer Robotic Hip replacements to suitable patients. Two of our Surgeons, Gavin Clark and Dermot Collopy performed the first two Total Robotic Hip Replacements in Western Australia on the 8th July 2017.
